The beauty industry has a long history of making women feel like they need to do all the work.
It’s one of the reasons why women are spending their money on cosmetic products, often with questionable results.
But according to a new study, we’ve got to rethink that notion.
The results of the study by the Australian Institute of Medical Research (AIMR) show that women may be buying products to feel good, but they are actually buying products for the wrong reasons.
“In general, women are buying cosmetics because they feel good about their skin and that’s what they want,” Dr Susan K. Bouchard, an expert in dermatology and cosmetic surgery at the University of Melbourne, said.

It’s been well documented that cosmetics are being sold as if they are health and wellness products, and so consumers are really buying them because they think they will be able to feel better about their own skin,” Dr McVicie said.
She says that consumers are buying cosmetic products to fill the void that they’ve created for themselves and are not aware that the products they are buying are damaging their skin.”
If you’ve had a lot of money in the past, it’s natural that you want to do things in a way that you think is going to improve your health,” Dr M.
McVicia said.”[But] it seems like the consumer’s experience with cosmetics is more like a shopping trip than an experience with care and care and well-being.”
There are some really interesting products out there and I think it’s really important that we take a long, hard look at the products and the way we’re going to market them, and really take into account the science.”
Dr McVibie says the study shows the beauty industry needs to focus on the science of skin care.
“One of the things we have been looking at is whether there’s any scientific basis to say that cosmetics really are going to do anything,” she said.
Ms McVigie says there are a few brands that are doing this, and she’s optimistic that the cosmetics industry will change.
“I think the beauty and wellness industries have a lot to look forward to, and I don’t think that any of the companies that are currently offering cosmetics are really looking at what they need in order to get to that point,” she added.
“But we will see, because we are starting to see a lot more research that we are going have to change how we think about cosmetics, and that includes making sure that we’re not buying products based on a ‘do it for me, I’ll feel better’ kind of mentality.”
You can’t get away from that, and we’re definitely going to be seeing more studies that will show us the science, but we need to start to be really conscious of the science and how it impacts our health and wellbeing.
